1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website g1practicetestontario.ca and any services, practice tests, or content provided (collectively, the “Site”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

We may update these Terms periodically; the updated version will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Definitions

• “Site” / “Service” – g1practicetestontario.ca and all related services, features, and content.
• “User,” “you,” “your” – any person or entity accessing or using the Site.
• “Content” – all text, questions, explanations, graphics, images, code, and other material on the Site.
• “Account” – a user registration that allows saving progress and using certain features.
• “Practice Tests” – unofficial G1 knowledge test simulations and question sets offered via the Site.
• “Official G1 Test” – the real Ontario G1 written knowledge test administered under the authority of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation at designated DriveTest Centres.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

3.1 Eligibility

The Site is intended for individuals preparing for a learner’s licence knowledge test (e.g., Ontario G1). In Ontario, candidates must be at least 16 years old to take the G1 test.

If you are below the age of majority in your province/territory, you should use the Site with parental or guardian consent.

3.2 Account Registration

Some features require registration. When creating an Account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account
• Be responsible for all activity carried out under your Account

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

3.3 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Account and/or access to the Site without notice if:

• You breach these Terms or other policies
• We suspect fraudulent or abusive activity
• Required by law, court order, or governmental request

4. Description of Services

The Site provides educational tools to help users prepare for the Ontario G1 written knowledge test and similar learner’s permit exams:

• G1 practice questions for road signs and rules of the road
• Test simulations reflecting the official structure (40 questions: 20 signs, 20 rules; 16/20 required per section).
• Review and explanation modes (where available)
• Performance summaries and progress tracking

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.

5. Licence and Acceptable Use

5.1 Limited Licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial G1 test preparation.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display Site Content without our written consent
• Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools (bots, spiders, crawlers) to access or extract data
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks
• Interfere with Site operation (e.g., DDoS, injection attacks)
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful scripts
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Circumvent or disable security features or access controls
• Use the Content to create a competing service or study product

Violation of these rules may result in Account suspension or legal action.

6. Intellectual Property

All Content and underlying code on the Site are the property of G1 Practice Test Ontario or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and use Content for personal study only. You may not:

• Reproduce or redistribute Content for commercial purposes
• Modify or create derivative works from Content without permission
• Remove or alter copyright or proprietary notices

“G1 Practice Test Ontario” and associated branding are our trademarks and may not be used without our written consent.

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate that feedback into our services without obligation to you.

7. No Government or MTO Affiliation

G1 Practice Test Ontario is an independent website and is not affiliated with:

• The Government of Ontario
• The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO)
• DriveTest Centres or any driver licensing authority

The official Ontario G1 test and licensing program is administered under the authority of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, using the official MTO Driver’s Handbook as the primary study resource.

Our practice tests are unofficial and intended only as a supplementary tool.

8. Educational Purpose Only

The Site provides educational material to support your exam preparation but does not:

• Guarantee that any specific question will appear on your official G1 test
• Replace reading the official MTO Driver’s Handbook
• Guarantee that you will pass your G1 or any other exam

The official G1 test consists of 40 multiple-choice questions—20 on road signs, 20 on rules of the road—with a requirement to correctly answer at least 16 in each section (80% per section). Our practice tests aim to simulate this, but no simulation is identical to the real exam.

9. No Legal, Driving, or Professional Advice

Content on the Site does not constitute:

• Legal advice
• Professional driving instruction
• Insurance or financial advice

For official legal or driving requirements, penalties, and obligations, consult the Highway Traffic Act and related statutes, the official MTO Driver’s Handbook, the Ontario government website, DriveTest, or qualified professionals.

10. Disclaimers

The Site and all Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Content will always be complete, current, or accurate
• Defects will be corrected promptly
• The Site will be compatible with all devices or browsers

Use of the Site is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, G1 Practice Test Ontario and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any:

• Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, income, profits, or opportunities
• Exam failures, retest fees, or licensing delays
• Claims related to driving violations, collisions, or legal penalties

arising out of or relating to your use or inability to use the Site, Content, or services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the total amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim. For free-only use, this amount is typically CAD $0.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless G1 Practice Test Ontario and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Site or Content
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
• Your infringement of any third-party right

This obligation survives the termination of these Terms and your use of the Site.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in compliance with PIPEDA and CASL. By using the Site, you consent to these practices.

14. Third-Party Links and Ads

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and display third-party ads.

We are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or availability of third-party sites
• The privacy or security practices of those sites
• Products or services they offer

Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and those third parties.

15. Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice.

We may also modify these Terms. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and post the revised Terms on this page. Continued use of the Site after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ontario, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

17. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement – These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
• Severability – If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No Waiver – Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment – You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
• Language – These Terms are provided in English. If translated, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
